Games and Resolutions
Why have I not updated in a while? I could blame it on my workload, which has increased quite markedly, or on the holidays, but really, I’ve gotten myself hooked on a word game called Bookworm. I sort of rationalize playing this at work because it keeps my mind really nimble.
But this is not the first game I’ve gotten hooked on. Oh, no. Rachael got me into RSVP, a game on the – no shit – Lifetime web site that involved seating like people at a dinner party. This is totally contrary to what I’d actually do at a seated dinner party, but I don’t make the rules. I have beaten this game a multitude of times.
So, another year. It started off strangely this new year. Exciting and sad. Interesting.
I hope for a lot this year. I think that’s just what I’ll get.
I have forgotten lip balm today. Sin of all sins!
Someone get me a sandwich.
This year I promise to either put up or shut up.
This year I promise to sit up straight.
This year I promise to put down the pipe.

A sandwich, you say? Should it be cheese in nature? And don’t lie to us about putting down the pipe, you’re only kidding yourself.
The Pig!
Hey, you’ve got me hooked on bookworm too! I particularly like the little worm’s smoky belches.
Hey, hours of playing RSVP is what helped me through some of my bleakest morning sickness hours. At times, I swear I could hear the music playing while falling asleep…
RSVP is an incredibly addictive game that should never have been unleashed upon us poor, unsuspecting officeworkers.
