Dream!
So, last night, I crashed pretty hard and slept deeply. I had the following dream:
I was at a McDonald’s and I ordered a strawberry shake, because the menu said they had a non-dairy base option. I took a sip and it tasted like strawberries mixed with tuna, which is not a good taste combo. I asked what the deal was and the dude at the counter said that the base, while not made with dairy, was in fact, made with tuna.
And that is the taste I had in my mouth this a.m.

I had this dream that an old friend, who recently did something extremely unkind to me, died. Somebody called me and said that he died, but not how. In the dream, my friend was moderately famous or something and lots of people seemed to know who he was.
Anyway, so this person tells me my old friend died and I realize that he must have committed suicide. Which, it turns out, he did. In the dream. Not in real life. At least, not that I know of. I hope not.
But it got me thinking: why now? I haven’t talked to my former friend in months and don’t really think of him even kind of often. It’s odd how the mind works, conjuring up the most random image or conversation. And it’s incredible how when I wake up after a sad dream and feel so down all day.

I had a dream this morning while listening to the radio that Gerald Ford had died (I wake up to NPR) and George Bush gave a very eloquent little speech about him. Then I turned to Omorosa Manigault-Stallworth and said, “That was a good speech, but it’s too bad that Bush is such a poor orator.” She turned her head ever so slightly toward me without taking her gaze off the TV she was watching and said with disdain, “You are so wrong that it’s ridiculous.”
